Great service from good plumbers. AngusPLUMBING are highly recommended….
“
When our flat’s water pressure dropped to almost nothing I took a look in the shared utility cupboard. To my disbelief there was a jet of water coming from the valve connecting us to the mains.
I found Angus Plumbing on the internet and called. A plumber was with me inside an hour, turned the mains water off and replaced the valve. He showed me where the hole was – you could see right through it.
Great service from good plumbers. Angus Plumbing are highly recommended.

The plumber was at my door in less than 20 minutes….
“
When I called Angus Plumbing they talked me through turning off the water to stop any further water damage. The plumber was at my door in less than 20 minutes and cut out and replaced the leaking copper pipe.
Before he started he made sure I took some pictures of the carpet and floor for the insurance. He also cleaned up the flood with a wetvac which was great – didn’t know that you can hoover up water!
Whenever I need a plumber – I’ll give Paul at AngusPlumbing a ring. He was great.

“
Quick, friendly and very polite. AngusPLUMBING fixed our leaking toilet a few hours after I called them on Monday morning.
They explained what was wrong – the cistern seal had failed and they also sorted out the flush which’d been working on and off for quite while. And I paid by card. What more can you want!
If anyone needs a plumber in the Reading or Caversham area, AngusPlumbing are the best and I’ll be in touch if I ever need help.

AngusPLUMBING fitted a new shower and sorted out a slow leak underneath the shower tray. Both had been put in by the last owner – a bit of a DIYer. They did a really good job and also replaced some cracked tiles.
You won’t find better plumbers in Reading. These guys know what they are doing, don’t cost the earth and don’t charge a call-out fee.
We’ll certainly be using them next time we need help with our plumbing.

When it came time to service our air source heat pump the installing plumber was fully booked for the next 3 months! Wanting to keep the warranty in place I WhatsAppd Angus Plumbing.
The engineer gave me a quick call before he arrived (on-time) to make sure that it was still okay. After the service he took the time to talk me though some maintenance to help keep the heat pump working its best.
I’ll definitely be using them again – they are the best plumbers in Henley.

I found Angusplumbing.co.uk on google and booked a video estimate using BookNow on their website.
Paul gave me a fixed price which was good and arrived on time and sorted out the leaking washroom tap there and then. He also gave me a good quote for some new bathroom taps which I’ve asked him to fit when I’m working from home next week.
Good service from a local business. Highly recommended.

AngusPlumbing serviced my Megaflow hot water cylinder. It was great that I was able to book them on-line with their BookNow service.
The engineer gave me a quick call before he arrived (on-time) to make sure that it was still convenient. He was very friendly and took the time to talk me though how the cylinder works and what to look out for if there are problems.
I’ll definitely use AngusPLUMBING again – very trustworthy. And always good to see a successful local Caversham business.

My neighbour recommended Angus Plumbing when one of my radiators started to leak dripping through the ceiling. I checked them out on angusplumbing.co.uk and gave them a call.
Paul was over promptly at the time agreed (they don’t have a call out fee) and gave me a quote. He also turned off the radiator to stop any further damage. Two days later we had a new working radiator.

We know Henley....
With customers stretching from Hart Street in the East, to Reading Road (by Tesco) in the South, Chiltern Close (off Elizabeth Street) in the West and Badgemore’s Lambridge Lane and Crisp Road in the North we know Henley.
And whether you’ve an older Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian home (ageing lead and cast-iron pipework) or a new build or flat (unvented cylinders, heat pumps and micro-bore as well as plastic piping) we’ve helped customers just like you with their plumbing, heating and drainage issues.
The question were most often asked – is Henley’s tap water any good?
With Thames Water annually testing over 500,000 water samples from local mains, pipes and properties with many thousands of these from the Henley area, Thames Water’s statutory annual review’s the best place to start.
And according to this 99.95% of samples taken meet Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) and UK and European legislation.
So, for Henley’s approaching 16,000 residents – they’ve some of the highest quality tap water in the UK. But, with its calcium carbonate (CaCO3) content averaging 284.8 mg/l (or parts per million), the water’s some of the UK’s hardest (where 180 ppm is considered very hard).
For homeowners, landlords and tenants this means –
- Taste and health: Hard water’s high mineral content’s a major positive for bone and dental health and a natural antacid for heartburn, but not so good for skin and hair. And yes, it does require more soap to lather than the soft water you’ll find in the South West, the North, Wales and Scotland.
With a distinct, heavy mouthfeel and a slightly chalky, mineral-like or sometimes metallic taste it’s certainly not “fresh” in the crisp, mountain-stream sense. But if you’ve grown up with it, chances are that you’ll probably prefer it to flat-tasting soft water, and if you don’t there’s always the option of putting in a water filter. - Limescale build-up is an issue: Because of these mineral concentrations, you’ll see limescale forming quickly in kettles, showerheads, washing machines, and water heaters. Making water softening and conditioning an essential to safeguard white goods, heating systems as well as plumbing in general.

Some of our recent Henley plumbing jobs....
20 feet of blocked kitchen waste pipe cleared from a cupboard of dried pasta put through a waste disposal / Insinkerator.
New immersion heater and service for an unvented cylinder running out of hot water after only a few minutes.
Water leaking from upstairs kitchen. through to ceiling on the floor below. The source – a leaking sink tap tail / flexi was identified and replaced with new.
New tap cartridges for leaking tap in penthouse apartment. This also restored full movement of the tap levers.
House’s entire waste system – bathroom, kitchen, toilets etc backed up due to blocked sewerage drain connecting to the main Thames Water sewer.
This was freed up and returned to the proper working condition via power jetting.
The customer asked us to find the source of and deal with a leak damaging a ground floor ceiling, wall and electrical points.
We located the cause – which was as part of a major renewal the builder’s plumber failed to connect the (first floor) new boiler condensate pipe located under the floor to the appropriate waste fitting.
Using a thermal camera the leak was found and subsequently fixed.
Permanently running toilet costing the homeowner an additional £400 per month on their water bill fixed through replacing the faulty flush valve.
This was complicated through the cistern having been glued to the toilet bowl requiring special solvents.
